Historical Black College and University (HBCU) Designation

The University of St. Augustine’s HBCU Authority has been granted by the U.S. Presidential Executive Order 12320 dated September 15, 1981.

Significantly, University St. Augustine’s HBCU entitlement is conterminous with the U.S.D.A Implementation Plan that is sanctioned by President Ronald Reagan, which authorizes the “University St. Augustine’s” (USA) (MeHarry College, LLC) as a “first” priority consideration to access strengthening grant allocations from essentially every federal agency.

Importantly, this designation entitles the University St. Augustine’s to access strengthening grant allocations from essentially every federal agency as a “first” priority consideration, as authorized by President Ronald Reagan through the U.S.D.A Implementation Plan. It’s a significant achievement for the University St. Augustine’s and its commitment to providing quality education to its students
